Mr Raman Mangabhai BSc(hons),MRSC CChem, AMICT,MCS I graduated
in applied chemistry from Salford University
in 1978.
“I
held research position after graduations at Salford
University, Kings College
London and Queen Mary and Westfield College
working on polymer modified cements, cement grouts and
premeabiliity of concrete.
I
joined TH Technology Ltd (Kvaerner Technology Ltd now Skanska
Technology) in 1989 until 1998 when the R
& D Centre was closed, working on cementitious materials
and instrumentation in the construction industry.
I
worked on the CTRL 230 project for Cementation Foundations Skanska
as Technical Advisor on the diaphragm wall”
I was Chairman, organiser and
edited the Calcium Aluminate Cements Conference in 1990 at Queen
Mary and Westfield College and in 2001 at Heriot Watt
University.
I
have presented and published papers on the cemntitious materials. I
was Secretary of the Construction Materials Group of Society of
Chemical Industry for over 12 years.
